1. Whom can I contact if I have a query related to the
Curriculum Management and eLearning Department?
The Information page in
www.curriculum.gov.mt contains the contact details
of its Director, Assistant Directors, Education
Officers, and its various Centres and Units.
Alternatively, through the Contact Us page, the
general public can submit any queries regarding the
Curriculum Management and eLearning Department. All
queries are always dealt with individually by the
CMeLD website administrator, in the shortest time
possible.
2. Where can I find Annual Past Examination Papers and
Syllabi for Subjects taught in Primary and Secondary
State Schools?
Annual Past Examination Papers and State Primary and
Secondary Syllabi are all available from the left hand
side menu of
www.curriculum.gov.mt. These files are in PDF
format, so in order to view them correctly, you need
to have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
You can click on the icon at the bottom of the page
to download it for free.
3. Why cannot I view Past Papers correctly on my PC?
Since these files are in PDF format, in order to view
them correctly, you need to have Acrobat Reader
installed on your computer. You can click on the icon
at the bottom of the page to download it for free.
If you still cannot view PDF files,
then open your Adobe Reader. Choose Edit -
Preferences - Internet and UNcheck "Display PDF in
browser". Then click OK.
When the examination paper appears correctly on
screen, but prints with errors, misplaced text or images
please try the following: When you click "Print", a grey
dialogue box appears. Tick "Print as Image" (on the upper
right hand side). The paper should now print correctly.
4. Are half-yearly past examination papers available
online?
Half-Yearly examination papers are not issued by the Educational Assessment Unit, but each school produces its own papers. So copies of half-yearly
papers can be obtained through the individual schools, or else
click here for
Half-Yearly Past Papers published in various
school websites.
5. How can I obtain past examination papers prior to
2000?
Examination papers
prior to 2000 are not available online. However,
they are available from all State schools in
booklets which were distributed by the Educational
Assessment Unit.
6. I need more information about Formative Assessment.
Where can I find this?
In
www.curriculum.gov.mt, the menu item Assessment
for Learning features various sections related to
Formative Assessment. One can find Articles,
Publications, Children’s Writings and a
section called Learning to Assess which
includes Children’s Compositions accompanied by
comments in order to help students learn how to assess
particular writings.
7. I need more information about Summative Assessment.
Where can I find this?
In
www.curriculum.gov.mt, the menu item Assessment
of Learning deals with Summative Assessment. Here
one can access all the National Past Examination
Papers of subjects taught in Primary and Secondary
State schools from the year 2000 onwards. There are
also various Resources and Links,
intended to provide support to teachers, learners,
administrators and parents.
